iGive Button

iGive is as simple as it sounds; iGive members can generate donations by shopping at any of our 1,400+stores. There are no costs, obligations, and no hidden fees.

iGive is a free service to causes and members.

SHOPPING: It’s all automatic! You don’t need to enter any codes, notify the store, or notify iGive. When iGive members install the iGive Button, tracking enables us to identify the purchases of each individual iGive member with a member ID number.  Causes always receive 100% of the donation amount which is advertised on our web site ( receives fees separately from the amounts that go to the cause).

Members shop the same way as they normally would and the iGive Button makes it automatic.

When members shop with the iGive Button installed, our stores automatically send us the needed information (order amount, order date, and member ID number which identifies the user to but is meaningless to the online store) so that we can track the donation to each member’s designated cause. When our members successfully link to an iGive store, their visits will be immediately visible in the You Recently Visited box and the iGive Button in the lower right corner of the retailer’s site  alerts our members to special discounts or coupons exclusive to iGive members.

This tiny addition to your browser automatically tells participating stores that you want your shopping to support your favorite cause or charity.

This button in the right lower corner of a retailer’s site shows the member she is on an iGive supported site. The retailer now knows to designate a percentage of the shopper’s purchase to the cause of her choice.

Clicking the iGive seed in the browser’s toolbar reveals ways for the shopper to view more information like how much money she has helped raise for her cause.

With the iGive Button installed, search results on Google, Bing, Yahoo and more indicate retail partner sites.

After being reported to us, the member’s transactions can be reviewed on her dashboard. It can take up to 30 days after they’ve shipped (or travel has commenced) for purchases to get posted to your report, although the average is about 10 days. In-store exchanges may void donations. Please review any posted store exceptions.
